Every team that enters a Wood Bat event in March, April, or June will receive a FREE team ash wood bat following payment of entry fee (compliments of The Phoenix Bat Co.)........
Prize packages to include (but not limited to) team and individual items from: Tanel360.com, Phoenix Bats, TYJA Sports, 909 Sports, Easton, Miken, Worth, FOE Athletics, Red Sea Marketing, and $Cash payouts.......
All Wood Bat events (except for States and Worlds) are $315 team entry with a 3 game minimum.......
ALL Wood Bat World Series of Softball teams MUST qualify to play. Teams MUST play in a minimum of two (2) Qualifiers in 2010, or play in the Wood Bat States to advance to the World Tournament........
World Series prize package/division will payout $2K+ in $Cash and prizes (*based on 8 teams minimum per Coed, Men, Women division).......
All divisions of play are considered "Open" due to the equalization of play from using wooden softball bats. In simple terms, it takes the game of softball back to its pure roots of 40+ years ago.......
Only official softball bats allowed. No baseball bats, or bats with a barrel diameter of greater than 2.25 inches, or longer than 34 inches.......
Many qualifying events may end up with an "Upper" and "Lower" bracket winner (depending upon how many teams entered, etc.)........
**"BEST PLAY SERIES" $CASH EVENTS
$Cash Payout events + All Tourneys + MVPs
Throughout the day, Tourney Director will allow players he/she witnesses making "ESPN Highlight" type of plays to choose from sealed envelopes containing $Cash from $1, $5, $10, to $20 denominations. In addition, the umpire from each game will choose a defensive player of the game. That person will then be allowed to choose from sealed envelopes containing $Cash from $1, $5, $10, to $20 denominations. Also, Tourney Defensive MVP (as judged by umpires and staff) will receive $50 in $cash. Will be GREAT fun!...........
*** "BARTER SERIES" EVENTS
LPS understands the tough times for many ball players. Teams/players will be allowed to barter/trade equipment for player/team entry fees instead of paying cash. ........
Examples of trade value: Most good used unaltered composite bats with no cracks = $100 value, Most good used gloves with good leather and stitching = $25 value, Good, used 12" softballs with no cuts or broken seams = $0.75/ball or $4 for 5 balls ...........
HOW TO ENTER YOUR TEAM:
1. Contact Tourney Director via phone: 760.445.2412 or email: lpstourneys@gmail.com
2. Submit date of event, team name, division, team roster (via email), and two (2) contact phone numbers NO LATER THAN Wednesday preceding event date.
3. Once info is provided, tournament game times will be provided by COB on Thursday preceding event date.
4. Please note: No roster? No game time. |
