Key West invites you to the 2nd Annual Southeast Region Softball Tournament. Military
and civilian teams welcome. Games will be played on NASKW Sigsbee and Kennedy Rd.
Softball Fields.
Full rosters with Team Name, Players Names, and entry fees shall be
turned in No Later Than June 10th for access to NAS Key West Sigsbee field.
Entry Fee: $250.00 per team
Benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project: 2013 Soldier Ride
PRIZES
(based on minimum of 12 teams)
1ST PLACE $1000
2ND PLACE $500
3RD PLACE $250
All games will have a 75 minute time limit. No new inning shall start after time has run out.
The following game will start no later than 15 minutes after the completion of the previous
game. A coin toss will determine home team for EACH game (unless championship team
is undefeated).
Each at bat will start with 1 ball and 1 strike. Foul ball with 2 strikes equal an out.
5 home run limit per team per game. Any home run hit after 5 ends the inning.
Run rule is as follows: 21 runs after 1 innings, 15 runs after 5 innings.
Ties will be decided using the Kansas City Rule: Last out on 2nd base, each batter receives one
pitch. 0 outs start the inning.
Two bats will be provided at each field. Teams shall provide their own balls.44-400 or less
Double elimination. Officials at both Sigsbee and Kennedy fields will have the brackets posted with
game times.
Any player or team who demonstrates poor sportsmanship will be automatically eliminated from the tournament forfeiting all prizes.
Food and Beverages will be available at both feild locations.
Military teams can stay at the vacation rentals on Trumbo (NGIS) and civilian teams can stay at the Concord, Lexington, Days Inn, IBIS Bay, and Marriot Courtyard (special rates will be negotiated for the tournament)
Transportation will be provided between venues. A valid I.D must be presented when boarding the transportation.
