We invite all teams -- ages 8u-18u -- to come out to Berliner Park in Columbus Ohio and enjoy an early-season 7 game guarantee tournament ( 8U and 10u age group is a five-game guarantee on Saturday and Sunday only ) on June 1-3, 2018.......................... All teams -- no matter what their skill level -- entered into the tournament will receive 7 (5) games within their pool. And all teams can bat up to their entire batting order if they desire, and there is free substitution in the field. Only the winners of each pool will get an 8th game. Games start at noon Friday and end at 6 PM Sunday. .................We feel this format allows the coach to give all the girls plenty of playing time, and also to be flexible to see how he should work with the girls for the remainder of the year. It is our 10th year doing it with this format early in the year, and the experience and playing time for the girls seems to benefit them the rest of the tournament season. Last year we had over 140 teams and expect to do so this year............................If you are not currently a member of ASA, you can simply join at the tournament in about 3 minutes for $35, and it is good at all non-qualifying ASA tournaments for the rest of the season........................
As you probably know, Berliner Park now has 11 turf fields (which allows us to play even in the case of rain), and continues to put money back into the Park to make it better and more enjoyable.
