The PA District 4 High School Coaches Association will be holding an ASA girls fast pitch tournament on September 18th and 19th (rain Date October 2nd and 3rd 2010) for ages: 12u, 14u, 16u and 18u. The tournament will be a four game guarantee and will offer 3 game pool play on Saturday and single elimination on Sunday. All games, except the championship and consolation games, will be 7 innings or 90 minutes with no new inning started after time has expired. Each new inning starts with the last out of the previous inning. International tie breaker rules will be in effect the entire weekend. Teams must be ready to play 15 minutes before their scheduled game time as we will start early if possible. At the start of the game pitchers will get 5 warm up pitches and any new pitchers coming in to the game will also receive 5 pitches. Subsequent innings will allow only 3 warm up pitches. Teams will be allowed to use an EH “Extra Hitter” in the line up and the last out courtesy runner will also be allowed. ASA mercy rules will be in effect. Home team will be decided by coin toss; the team traveling the farthest will call the toss for pool play and the higher seed will chose home or away for elimination rounds. If equally seeded, the home team will then be determined by the coin toss. The tournament will be held in two complexes: Hughesville and Turbotville and seeding will go by

All other ASA rules will be in effect. Next year’s teams are welcome but must have proof of insurance and ASA registration.
