Hi everyone, I am a 5 tool major level player looking for a slow pitch softball team that plays on Mondays at anytime or tues-thurs after 8pm. I just recently moved to NJ from NY and had to leave 3 teams that I played on simultaneously. I live in West Paterson. I'm 5'11' 225lbs with power and speed and I play outfield, 3rd base and SS. I'm one of approximately 40 players chosen to tryout for the United States Professional Softball League's 2 promotional exhibition teams which will tour the U.S. this summer. Please respond to my e-mail address- Jeter13nj@aol.com. Thanks a lot. Adam

Currently I am looking to enhance the slowpitch softball game in Gainesville, FL. In doing so I have developed a web site (www.gainesvillesoftball.com), which I hope will bring awareness and an overall excitement back into our community for the slowpitch game. If you have any tournaments you wish to advertise please send them to me, I will be happy to promote them through the site for you. Also, at the end of March I am putting on a tournament here in Gainesville, FL. If you know of or have a team that wishes to play, please have them or yourself contact me. This tournament will have two men's divisions (5HR & 1HR) as well as a women's division. The 1HR men's division will be strictly reserved for league and class 'E' tournament teams. Individual awards will be given to all first and second place teams with team awards going to first, second & third place teams. Though the price is low at $150 with a 3 game guarantee and this is not a qualifier, this will be an organized tournament with legitimate umpires. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am very good at returning favors. Sincerely, Joey Steen Director of Operations & Development Gainesvillesoftball.com

I have a team of girls, 14 & under, we have no sponsorship. We need a sponsor for the 2001 softball season. They are a tournament team and play every 2 weeks in a tournamant somewhere in Okla. We need money to get uniforms, we've had fund raisers for the insurance that will cover the team on the field, we're running out of ideas. We would appreciate any help.

can there still be questions? get real, use wood in slow pitch softball bats. the rise in technology in softball bats has made the slow pitch game a joke. it was never meant to be home run derby. there are reasons major league baseball and cricket have stayed wood: integrity is the major one. honestly, no-brainer. get real, use wood, slow pitch softball.

We realize we will have to travel as we do not have a team in our area that I can find. She is at the varsity level. I feel she will be an asset to your team. She is a catcher, plays short, 2nd and first. I'm sure she would even play out field as she has a great arm. She is a consistant hitter. She needs to be on a competive team in order to contiune to reach her goal of a professional softball player. This may never happen but I have to try to help her reach this goal. I just wanted to let everyone on this little site know that i play for one of the best Mens slow pitch teams in Michigan, We are the Country Crossroads Warriors, and through the past 6 years have a 116-4 record on our League, we have won three state titles, begining in Class E, Class D and Class C, we have begun to run out of teams and tournaments to play in bc of our talent and attitudes, I was hoping that maybe someone reading this could possible give us some advice on where to go play

I moved to the Raliegh Durham area about two months ago, and the only team i can find to play is a co-ed team on which i don't play very much. No one knows me so they don't know what i can do. I played mens class E, D, and C softball where i'm from and i played it 6 nights a week.I will play any position, even DH. I hit with a 34 / 30 Powdershell, and for opposite field hitting i use a redline. I am VERY competitive and love to have fun, and i have also played in the world series class E and qualified for it again this year. I am in desperite need of a team. My phone number is 919 477 1311.

Hi! My name is Alison Holtkamp, I am 12 years old and from Williams, Iowa. I am looking for any surrounding states(Kansas,Missouri,Minnesota,Nebraska,Illinois, etc.) team that i can play on next summer(2001). I am a pitcher from a small school and I do a pretty dang good job. Batters barely get any hits off of me, the runs are mostly from walks and errors. When I pitched this summer our record was 15-4 from me pitching. I am just looking for a bigger tournament team I can play on in my state or surrounding states so I can get this expierence. I am a fast pitch pitcher, I pitch up to 43 mph. On my fielding, well I do a good job of being quick after my pitch so I can field the ball well. I am the third batter in the the highest batting averages on our team. Please contact me as soon as you can. Thank you!

I have an 11 year old daughter who has been playing fast pitch softball for a couple of years. She appears to be pretty good and has made an all-star team composed of girls from the league in which she participates. The all-star team hit the road and began playing tournments with less than all-star results. Now I'm not complaining about anything that was done by the coaches or umpiring or those who held the tournment. I think our girls play hard and the coaches do a fine job with the girls and the tournment sponsers appear to have everything running smoothly. So, you ask what is the purpose of this long winded dissertation? Well, during these tournments it became evident that many of the teams are near semi-pro status. Many have coporate sponsorship, team transportation, budgets for room and board for tournments in which they participate. Tryouts are held and these girls practice for months prior to their traveling schedule. Their equipment is top of the line due to their sponser. My daughter uses a bat sold at Wal-Mart for $29.95. I had one father tell me his daughter has several bats each in the $200 to $300 range. Now to the point. What I realized is the other teams are much better prepared and equiped than our girls. What I want to do is to become better educated about the sport of fastpitch softball. Which is the better bat, glove and training aid(s). Where can I find information to help me help my daughter develop her skills to the greatest potiential. What is the difference between an "A" tier team and a "B" tier team? So if anyone can help a Dad help his daughter it would be greatly appreciated.
